Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) is offered at Auckland University of Technology for the duration of 4 years full time. This level 7 program consists of 480 points in total and the international students can apply for the 27 Feb 2023 intake.

After successful completion of this program, the students will go on to become physiotherapists and will be able to work with a wide range of people, to help them overcome physical problems caused by injury, diseases, ageing, disorders, conditions or environmental factors.

The program is designed with a clinical practice focus, and the students get a chance to complete about 1,000 hours of clinical experience as part of the program studies.

The approximate tuition fees for 1 year is NZ $40,300 for international students. This is a level 9 program and the total number of points in this program is 180. The next 2 available intakes for this program is 27 Feb 2023 and 17 Jul 2023.

The applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree or graduate diploma in a related subject and 3 years of professional work experience.

Wintec – Te Pūkenga

Bachelor of Physiotherapy is offered at Wintec – Te Pūkenga for the duration of 4 years full time. The students can apply for February 2023 intake. The applicants are required to have a high school diploma before can apply for this program. Apart from that there are additional requirements like Referee Checks, A Police Vet Check, and A Risk Assessment etc.

IELTS: 7.0 overall bands with all bands 6.5 in each module

The University of Auckland

University of Auckland physiotherapy program is offered as Master of Physiotherapy Practice for the duration of 2 years full time. The students can apply for February intakes every year.

The annual tuition fees for this program is NZ$46,752 for international students. This is a level 9 qualification with 240 points in total.

The applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in a health related subject from a recognized university or college. Related subjects like exercise sciences, physiology, psychology, health sciences, and sport and exercise science.

IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0 in each module

TOEFL (IBT): overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21

PTE: overall score of 58 and no score below 50 in each component

University of Otago

University of Otago physiotherapy degree is offered in various programs, the students can opt to do Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPhty), Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (PGDipPhty) or Master of Physiotherapy (MPhty). These are level 7, 8, and 9 respectively.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy starts in February every year and can be completed in 4 years full time.

Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy, is further divided into 3 parts Neurorehabilitation, Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy or Sports Physiotherapy. To become eligible to apply for this program the students must have completed a bachelor’s degree in health related subject.

Master of Physiotherapy can be completed in 2 years full time of study. It has the same socializations available like Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy: Neurorehabilitation, Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy or Sports Physiotherapy.

For academic eligibility the students must have a bachelor’s degree in a related subject or have some work experience in this field.
