The Bachelor of Engineering Technology prepares you for diverse range of careers in engineering accredited by Engineering New Zealand. It meets the Sydney Accord and prepares you for Technical Membership of Engineering New Zealand. The Building Services Engineering major in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology is the pivot point of mechanical and electrical building services, and support systems which are essential to the high-quality commercial buildings.

The engineers with building services skills have significant input into the design and development of ventilation, heating and air conditioning, ancillary systems (data and multimedia both) and building management. They could also for the maintenance and repair services needed in already constructed buildings. The focus of the Building Services Engineers is primarily on the commercial property sector.
