Eligible profiles for New Zealand student visa after 12th from India
As per Immigration New Zealand- INZ there are certain academic and English language requirements you must meet.
Recent pass out
If you are 12th pass student and is looking forward to study in New Zealand then to be eligible to apply for New Zealand study visa you must be recent pass out .You must not have any gap after your 10th and after 12th .
English language ability
You must also have sufficient English language ability to successfully complete your course of study in New Zealand. Students may show this in form of a English language test like IELTS or PTE. The score required in the test depends on the program you wish to pursue.
- For 2 year Diploma course at level 5 of NZQF that is New Zealand Qualification framework you need to have band score of overall 5.5 in IELTS with no band less than 5 or an equivalent PTE score
- For 2 year Diploma course at level 6 of NZQF that is New Zealand Qualification framework you need to have band score of overall 6 in IELTS with no band less than 5.5 or an equivalent PTE score
- For 3 year Bachelors course at level 7 of NZQF that is New Zealand Qualification framework you need to have band score of overall 6 in IELTS with no band less than 5.5 or an equivalent PTE score
Note – For some courses like Bachelors in Nursing the English language requirement may be high.
Gap explanation
If there is a gap in your studies then you need to have a solid explanation for the same. Only having explanation may not be enough to get New Zeeland study visa, you must have verifiable evidence to support your claims
Example of a gap justification
Let’s say that you are an applicant who wishes to study in New Zealand after 12th .You did you 12th in medical that is physics, chemistry and Biology. After doing your 12th you wanted to go for MBBS program and then dropped for one year to prepare for the examination for the same. As per the policy there is a gap of one year but the good thing is that you have a proper justification of what you did in that one year. You were not free but involved in an activity where you wanted to move ahead in your career. You were preparing for your exams to get admission into a MBBS program .As a proof of this you may attach the documentation of any examination you may have appeared for like your roll number cards ,result card of the test you may have appeared for.
