GERMANY MOUNTS 4th SPOT AS INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CHOICE, US CONTINUING AT 1st SPOT

The hierarchy of international education contributors has changed. As per fresh data released from the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD it has been noticed that China and India are the most popular countries for international students moving to Germany and making it a popular choice, as it climbs up to hold the fourth spot drawing attention away from France. While US still continues to be the largest host and favored by students. UK and China hold second and third positions respectively.

The number of international students arriving in Germany is around 13% and 7% of the international pool respectively.

According to a DAAD presser, International students have shown keen interest in studying in Germany and despite the corona pandemic the coming years will see a visible recovery in the declining figures and an increase beyond previous numbers.

DAAD president Joybrato Mukherjee was quoted saying “The corona pandemic has altered international students’ mobility patterns on a global basis. This is a good point from where we can convince even more talented young people in the future of the benefits of the education system and connect them to our country.”
