If you want to have qualification that gives you practical use in the business market, then go for Graduate Diploma. Introduced for the one who already have a degree in another subject area, the course will boost your career into accounting in just one year.
Complete the accounting demands of any business with this course. You’ll come to know about law and practice of accountancy, analytical thinking, decision-making and business analysis. The program includes financial statements and business tax regulations. Before you complete, you’ll finish an accounting project for a business as your final assessment.
To choose this course you must have knowledge of recording and processing financial reports by employing double entry accounting system and the preparation of financial reports, as well as an understanding of analysis and interpretation of financial reports.
This course will not allow you to practice as a chartered accountant. To practice as a chartered accountant you must be a member of the Charted Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ) or CPA Australia and undertake professional accounting training.
What you’ll learn:
All sections in the Graduate Diploma in Accounting are necessary. You will study eight sections in total – five focuses on financial and management accounting, and taxation in New Zealand, and one focuses on business in the New Zealand context.
Your final module – BIBM788 Professional Project – involves a work placement and research project. This is a great platform, where you get the chance to use your skills and talents, build links and business relationships that can lead to job opportunities.

Academic eligibility:
Candidate must have a bachelor degree in Commerce.
English language proficiency score:
- IELTS score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5.
- TOEFL Score of 60 is required (20 in writing)
- PTE required score is 50
