Description:

The Master of Engineering Studies gives advanced technical approach via training to the engineering professionals and there is no need to write thesis requirement. The MEngSt is made of 400 & 600-level courses that offers student to study a wide range of topics in their general area of expertise.

Career Outcomes:

Most new graduates are employed by consultants, contractors or central, regional and local government .Many civil engineers become experts in a specialised area of civil engineering such as structural, water, geotechnical, transportation, fire or environmental fields.

Eligibility Criteria:

Academic

Students should have hons degree either in Bachelor of Engineering or Sciences. Those who have Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering may also apply for ME Studies in Civil Engineering at The University of Canterbury.

 English Proficiency Score

  1. IELTS Overall band Score 6.5, not less than 6.0 in each band;
  2. TOEFL (iBT) 90, not less than 19 in reading, writing and listening;
  3. TOEFL PBT at least 575 score
  4. Pearson Test of English (PTE)- overall score 58 not less than 50 in Communication
