The program is designed to deal with the area of software development. coding, scripting and app development are key areas about which students will learn, and will be equipped in analyzing, designing and developing software systems and find solutions in varied range of organisational contexts.

The diploma is designed for people seeking to focus on one or more application domains, such as general Application Development, Web Development, Games Development, and Mobile Applications Development.

A New Zealand Diploma in Software Development (Level 6) is only given to the students after securing 240 credits, including all compulsory courses.
